About The Project
The customer, located in Goshen, Kentucky, wanted both motorized vinyl shades and motorized screens for their new covered porch. We installed six motorized screens with two types of screen mesh. The larger openings feature Phifer TuffScreen mesh (four black screens), while the screens on the fireplace side use Phifer Suntex 90% mesh (two black screens) for additional sun control on the side with more direct sunlight exposure.
In addition, we installed Universal motorized vinyl shades, combining Serge Ferrari Sandy Beige material with Fenestra clear vinyl. This setup provides the flexibility to use the porch comfortably year-round. The clear vinyl allows for temperature control while maintaining an unobstructed view and natural light.
All units are operated through a single multi-channel remote and can also be controlled with a phone or tablet via the bond hub. The porch also includes ceiling-mounted heaters (not installed by us), making it a comfortable four-season space.
