Outdoor Motorized Screens for New Construction Patio

For this stunning new construction home in Mason, Ohio, US Custom Creations was brought in to transform an open-air patio into a fully functional, all-seasons outdoor living space using custom-installed motorized retractable screens.

Project Overview

This spacious patio was designed as a central entertainment hub for the homeowners—featuring a beautiful stone fireplace, wood-accented ceiling, outdoor ceiling fans, and premium outdoor furnishings. While the structure offered great shelter and ambiance, the open walls left the space vulnerable to insects, sun glare, and fluctuating seasonal conditions.

Our team installed motorized outdoor screens that seamlessly blend into the architectural design, providing privacy and protection without compromising visibility or airflow. These screens can be retracted at the push of a button, offering the flexibility to enjoy open-air views or a more enclosed, cozy environment.

Why Outdoor Motorized Screens?

1. Comfort & Protection from Insects
Mason’s warm summers and humid evenings can attract mosquitoes and other pests—especially in outdoor entertaining spaces. With motorized screens, homeowners can relax in comfort without the constant interruption of bugs.

2. Enhanced Climate Control
The climate in Mason, OH includes humid summers, cool spring breezes, and crisp fall temperatures. Motorized screens help retain warmth from fireplaces and outdoor heaters, and reduce sun exposure during peak summer months—making the space usable across multiple seasons.

3. Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living
These screens preserve the open view of the beautifully landscaped backyard while creating a more private, shaded, and serene environment. It’s the perfect solution for homeowners wanting the best of both worlds—outdoor openness and indoor comfort.

4. Sleek Aesthetics & Home Value
The flush-mounted design and clean look of the installed screens complement the home’s modern architecture and luxurious finishes. Beyond aesthetics, motorized screens are a sought-after upgrade that can increase the property’s resale value.
