About The Project
Nestled in the scenic suburbs of Southwest Ohio, Springboro is known for its charming neighborhoods, strong sense of community, and beautifully crafted homes. For one Springboro family, there was just one unfinished element in their otherwise stunning property—the space beneath their deck. With plans to host large gatherings, they decided it was the perfect time to complete the transformation.
Our team installed a sleek, black smooth-panel underdeck system. This newer color option delivers a modern, high-end look and perfectly complements the home’s white and stone exterior. More than just functional, the ceiling creates a visually striking contrast while providing year-round protection from the elements.
But the transformation didn’t stop there. We also delivered several custom upgrades to elevate the space:
Faux Beams: Constructed and wrapped in cellular PVC for a clean, architectural look.
Stair Backing: The exposed stair backs were covered with cellular PVC for a polished finish.
Flashing: We added flashing to the tops of beams and columns to protect against water intrusion and ensure durability.
Lighting Enhancements: The existing lights above the bar area were lowered to provide better illumination and ambiance for entertaining.
This Undercover System not only maximizes usable outdoor space but also adds a level of sophistication and utility that turns this once-overlooked area into a true extension of the home.
Before and After: From open, exposed joists to a beautifully finished black ceiling, this project is a testament to how a few key upgrades can transform a space into something both functional and stylish—just in time for hosting friends and family.
